About me

Dianne C. Braley is a multi-award-winning author and nurse who grew up in the inner city, where survival was its own education. As a former nurse to literary icon William Styron, she found creative fuel for her debut novel, The Silence in the Sound. Her poetry collection Unheard Whispers, an unflinching look at growing up amid alcoholism, also received critical acclaim and multiple awards. Her follow-up novel, The Summer Before, marked a bold turn into New Adult fiction, praised for its emotional depth and honesty. She lives just north of Boston with her lively crew of humans, pets, and plenty of chaos.
